A massive shout out to Susan for gifting this latest offering in the Barrington series. How gorgeous is the cover? Set for release on 7 June
This was definitely my favourite in the series where we reconnect with all of the characters from the previous books and we also meet some new ones. I loved that Susan has added a cheat sheet at the start of the book with all the characters and which book they featured in.
You could read this as a standalone but is definitely beneficial if you’ve read the others.
This story has a bit of everything - lots of babies are born, new people arrive to town and one tragedy that changes everything. I also appreciated that the books featured are all Australian female authors. Each chapter is told from a different character’s point of view which I really liked and added to the story - giving us an insight into each character.
Like a warm blanket, Susan’s books are such a comforting read. I don’t want to give away too much so you’ll have to read it for yourself.
