The Quarantine Station by Michelle Montebello

The Quarantine Station by Michelle Montebello

When I absolutely adore a book I read on my kindle, I like to buy the paperback as well for my gorgeous book shelf. But the copy of The Quarantine Station that author Michelle Montebello sent me recently is next level. It's a special edition hard cover with gold foil on the cover. It's so lush that I have it standing in front of a row of books on my shelf - I never want to tuck this one away.

Released in March 2019, I only read it in February 2023. My review below:

I'm late to the party with this one, but now I know what the hype was about! Beautifully written and very well researched (and I love a dual timeline), Rose and Emma's stories unravel deliciously and I found it hard to put down. Next time I'm in Sydney I'll visit the QStation - I hadn't realised it's importance in our history until I read this book.

How do you read your books? Paperback, ebook, audiobook? Do you ever buy a favourite book in more than one format? Have you any special editions like the one pictured here?

I love The Quarantine Station and cannot wait to add this lovely cover edition to my collection. The story is so poignant and romantic yet also beautiful drawn from history. Michelle is truly talented and one of my go-to authors, as well as a dear friend.
