Moving the newsletter to Substack

Hello readers and book clubbers,

I've been tweaking the back end of my website while also working on my branding and community connections. 

There have been some horror stories recently, from fellow authors, about Meta shutting down their facebook group with no warning (eek!). And Instagram accounts and facebook pages are occasionally hacked and stolen. 

Note: I lost my original Susan Mackie Tyrrell instagram account several years ago, to an imposter. I believe the account was eventually banned by Meta, but I chose to operate with just my Susan Mackie Author account instead. But if I lost that ... oh gosh, how devastating.

I'd hate to lose my beautiful community of book lovers - readers and authors - so I'm working harder to have you all join me here. Sign up for my website newsletter - it will take you to substack. The regular newsletter is FREE to join. I may set up levels of membership later, but there will always be a free option. This will give me some control over how I communicate with my followers and customers. It will also provide an opportunity for you to get pre-release copies of my books (and others) and participate in the development of a new series and more Barrington content. (I'm excited about this).

I'm keeping the facebook group - The Barrington Book Club - which I just adore. But I'm adding a layer of protection, just in case.

Oh, and I'll be adding events in here too - markets, library talks, book signings, reader and writer festivals - so I have an opportunity to chat with more of you in person.
